Ball State spokesperson Kathy Wolf confirmed this to the Star Press, noting that the famous alum returned to campus to meet with Professor Jennifer Palilonis and several graduate students in the Emerging Media Design and Development program. Palilonis and her students shared their preliminary concepts for how they could use the materials and items Letterman previously provided to Ball State to create an “ongoing, immersive learning experience” for students, faculty, staff and eventually the public. He graduated in , and well, you know the rest. Since then, he has made several visits and mentions back to the university. A patron at The Caffeinery told a Star Press photographer that Letterman had been in the coffee shop just a few minutes earlier. And as to be expected, he paid a visit to his alma mater the week leading into the university’s graduation. Several students noted they saw him on campus. The same is true of a sexual or romantic relationship between a person with non-instructional supervisory responsibilities faculty, administrator, staff, or student and someone over whom the person has supervisory responsibility.
Individuals involved in a romantic relationship cannot be expected to be able to render an objective assessment of the performance of his or her partner in the relationship; the ability to render an objective assessment is crucial to the role of instructor or supervisor. If such a relationship exists or develops, the person with instructional or supervisory responsibilities shall immediately make arrangements to terminate his or her instructional or supervisory responsibilities over the partner in the relationship.
A member of the campus community who fails to withdraw from participation in decisions that may reward or penalize the party with whom he or she has or has had a sexual or romantic relationship will be deemed to have violated his or her ethical obligation to the University. Violations of this policy may be reported to the Director of Institutional Equity and Internal Investigations or in the case of a student, he or she may report the conduct to the administrative head of Student Affairs.

Fort Wayne Police say they’re investigating the death of year-old Carter Batchelder as an apparent suicide. They say he was last seen about 9 p. Friday when he left his friend’s home on the north side of the city. Investigators say Batchelder never showed up at home and was supposed to move into an apartment at Ball State Saturday.
They say his phone was turned off and that his girlfriend and other friends had not seen him. Police say his phone was last used near Churubusco, which is about 16 miles northwest of Fort Wayne. Batchelder is a graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School, according to the school’s website. Police: Missing Fort Wayne man found dead.

It has two satellite facilities in Fishers and Indianapolis. As of [update] , total enrollment was 22, students,  including 17, undergraduates and 5, postgraduates. The university offers about undergraduate majors and minor areas of study  and more than master’s, doctoral, certificate, and specialist degrees. There are more than student organizations and clubs on campus,  including 34 fraternities and sororities.
The entire school, including classrooms, a library, and the president’s residence were housed in what is today’s Frank A.

Rapid technological developments transform the ways we communicate, but digesting the impact this has on romance is a whole different ballgame. Practices once customary for previous generations may seem archaic to a fast and forward-thinking Millennial.
Sarah Schlosser is a sophomore and elementary education major at Ball State University. One ordinary evening, Sarah was mindlessly swiping through Tinder profiles. She had been using the app for about a year and was, essentially, just hoping to meet new people. Her shy nature made an app like Tinder seem like the perfect way to talk to others in her area. She was talking to a few other Tinder matches at the time, and interacting with guys online never made her too anxious.
The use of online dating apps has become somewhat of a norm, especially over the past decade. According to Pew Research, 59 percent of adults in said online dating is a good way to meet people, up from 44 percent in As of , 17 percent of marriages in the last year, and 20 percent of current committed relationships, began on an online dating site, according to Statistic Brain.
